Frequently Asked Questions: (Updated November 2020)

Q.   Can I make special arrangements for drop off and pick up other than regular lobby hours?
A:   Lobby Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 2:00-5:00PM.  If the hours are not convenient, please call to make special arrangements.  Reasonable accommodations will be honored however there will be an additional $10/per pet fee Monday - Friday and $15/per per Saturday & Sunday for this extended hour service.  All Late Pick Ups must be pre-paid.

Q:  Why do I have to keep my pet on a flea and tick control?
A:  Pets pick up fleas and ticks from shrubbery, trees, grass, sand and other pets.  To keep this from happening to your pet, you must make sure they are protected.  Our property is sprayed regularly to prevent any pest problems.

Q:  What if my pet arrives for boarding or grooming with fleas or ticks?
A:  We will bathe your pet with flea and tick shampoo at your cost.

Q:  What should my pet eat while they board?
A:  Your pet should stay on its regular diet.  Please bring whatever you feed them at home.  There will be a $5/day charge for feeding your pet our food.  There is also a $1/day charge to include any special dietary foods that you provide.  If we have to purchase them, we will include that charge at check out.

Q:  My pet takes medicine.  Can you give it to her/him?
A:  We can and do and at no extra cost to you.  You must bring the medication bottle with the pills inside.  Please do not put the pills in the food.  Please bring enough medication for a few extra days in case your pet stay is extended.

Q:  How far in advance should I book my pet's stay?
A:  As soon as you book your vacation plans, you should book your pet's stay.   If you'd like your pet groomed during the stay, please  request that at the time of your booking.

Q:  How often do the dogs go outside?
A:  Four times a day for about 15 minutes each time.  Each trip outside is supervised.

Q:  Do you have a discount rate?
A:  Yes.  We offer a 10% discount for 30 days or more.  We also offer a 10% discount to all active duty and retired military personnel. (not to be used together).

Q:  Will my dog go out with other dogs?
A:  Yes.  The dogs go outside together based on size and temperament.  They are taken outside to busy and play four times per day.

Q:  What do I bring?
A:  Please bring your pet's regular food and any medication.  You may also bring toys, treats, thunder jacket, etc.  - however, please leave home any rawhide bones and toys that could pose a choking hazard.  We provide bowls and bedding for your dog and bowls and litter boxes for cats.   

Q:  Is it ever quiet there?
A:  The dogs do start barking during tours and let outs.  Otherwise the dogs are fairly calm throughout the day and night.

Q:  Can I have a tour?
A:   At this time, we are limiting our tours due to sanitation concerns. Our main priority is our existing guests so please be patient if you have to wait for a member of the staff to become available.

Q:  What if my pet gets sick or is injured?
A:  We will call you first and you are unavailable, we will contact your named Emergency Contact.  If your Emergency Contact cannot be located or is unwilling to assist, we will call your veterinarian to schedule an appointment.  If your vet is not available we take the pet to one of the two 24/7 clinics in our area.  There is a $50 transport fee to take your pet to the vet.  All expenses incurred at the veterinarian's are your responsibility.

Q:  Why do I need to provide an emergency contact person and number?
A:  For the reason listed above as well as in the case of mandatory evacuation due to weather events.  If we cannot reach you, you must have a back up plan for your pet. 

Q:  Can my pet be groomed while he/she is there for boarding?
A:  We would love to groom your dog (we no longer groom cats).  Please be sure to schedule the groom when you schedule the boarding as we may not be able to fit you in if you wait until the drop off date.

Q:  I've never boarded my pet before.  How can I be assured that he/she will be alright?
A:  Due to limited availability, free trials require a reservation and are limited to 2-3 hours.  If a pet is left longer than 3 hours, we will charge for daycare.

Q:  We are a multiple dog or cat family.  Can my pets board together?
A:  Yes, additional pets from the same family housed in the same cat condo or kennel are 40% for the 2nd pet, and 20% for 3 or more pets.

Q:  Will my dog have a bath while boarding?
A:  For 6 nights or more we offer a discounted bath and/or trim nails for your dog. For larger breeds or dogs with thicker, longer coats, we offer a 50% discount on bath package.  All 50% off bath packages are scheduled through our grooming department.
